Slip leashes easily slip on and off the dog. The soft padded fleece ensures your pup's neck is safe when the leash tightens as the pull and relax. Slip leads are generally used as spare leashes, dog sports such as agility, hunting, etc., and for training purposes. These are NOT for general walking. 

Since this is a slip lead, the neck opening adjusts to the dog's neck, with 10" of it being padded.
